Keeping Barcellos at the helm of Inter is not an option if the club wants to continue to exist
The miracle happened. Inter beat Bragantino this Sunday (7) and escaped relegation. The Colorado fan, even in the face of so much misfortune, remained faithful to the jersey and did not lose hope. And much of that miracle is down to coach Abel Braga, who acted as a life preserver in one of the most dramatic moments in team history.
But it must be said: leaving the B series does not erase anything that has happened recently. It would be possible to write a book chronicling the misfortunes of this administration. This doesn’t rewrite the weakness of Alessandro Barcellos and his losing mentality of someone who promised and didn’t deliver. The Inter board must take action and remove him from club leadership by yesterday. And it’s all in the name of the team’s future.
Keeping Barcellos at the helm of Inter is not an option if the club wants to continue to exist. Supporters breathed a sigh of relief this Sunday, but they know the path remains dangerous as long as the club is in the hands of those who almost took it to the bottom. And as if that wasn’t enough, Barcellos even almost smeared the names of the team’s big idols. The miracle prevents the fall, but does not repair the damage. There is only one way to achieve this: impeachment now. The council must act.
