Corinthians are moving behind the scenes in search of a new head of the football department. After the departure of Fabinho Soldado, made official last Tuesday (23), the black and white council began conversations to fill the strategic position of football executive.
Bruno Spindel appears as the main candidate
Among the names analyzed internally, Bruno Spindel appears to be the favorite of the Corinthians management. The director is part of a short list of three professionals being evaluated to take on the role of director of football, but his profile appeals more to the current management of the São Paulo club.
Experience at Flamengo weighs in favor
Bruno Spindel has built a large part of his recent career at Flamengo, where he worked for different managements. He left the Rio club in August this year, after administrative changes with the arrival of Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, to the red-black presidency.
Before that, Spindel had already joined the board under the command of Eduardo Bandeira de Mello and gained even greater prominence during the Rodolfo Landim era, a period marked by Flamengo’s sporting exploits and institutional stability.
Management seeks executive profile for reformulation
The Corinthians board understands that the choice of the new football leader will be decisive for the sporting planning of the coming seasons. The club is looking for a name with experience in large structures, management capacity and direct involvement in the transfer market.
