As the Nao Victoria Foundation reports in a note, the program, the result of collaboration between the Nao Victoria Foundation and the Port Authority, aims to convert the port of Seville, from the Muelle de la Sal to the Muelle de las Delicias, into a historic route which will allow visitors to discover life on board the most emblematic ships of Spanish maritime history.
On the quays of Seville, considered “port and gateway to the Indies for its historic role in transoceanic trade”there are replicas of legendary ships. At Delicias Pier, the public will be able to board the Galeón Andalucía, a replica of a Spanish galleon, and the Nao Santa María, a replica of Christopher Columbus’ ship, exploring the decks, cabins and areas for navigation, food and rest for sailors.
The ships, which are part of an international tour that this year included nearly 30 ports in northern Europe, They arrive in Seville to close their 2025 European tourfunctioning as floating museums of Spanish maritime history.
