Saturday was marked by intense heat throughout Rio Grande do Sul, with temperatures above 37ºC in at least five cities until 3:35 p.m., according to data from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). In Porto Alegre, the Jardim Botânico station recorded 37.1ºC in mid-afternoon, while Campo Bom, in Vale do Sinos, reached 37.9ºC, the maximum recorded in the state during this period. The heat prevailed from the early hours of the day and intensified throughout the afternoon, increasing the thermal sensation in several regions.

For this Sunday (7), the forecast indicates a possible change in weather in the areas of Missões, Oeste and parts of Campanha, where an area of ​​depression could cause storms. There is a risk of strong wind gusts, lightning and even hail, which require the attention of residents and drivers traveling in affected areas. Instability is expected to be concentrated at these points, as most of the state continues with no rain forecast.

In other areas of Rio Grande do Sul, Sunday will be marked by sun, variable clouds and continued heat. In Porto Alegre, the forecast indicates a sunny day between clouds and high temperatures since the morning, with the possibility of exceeding 35ºC in the afternoon. The scenario reinforces the continuity of a heat wave hitting the state and requiring additional care in hydration and sun exposure.
