An unusual case that outraged a family from Santa Catarina occurred during a wake in Capinzal last Tuesday (23/12). Friends and family were not given the correct body to bury. The Military Police (PM) were called.

At Capinzal Cemetery, around 2:20 p.m., police spoke to the mourner’s brother, a 39-year-old man. He said the family was allegedly prevented from recognizing his brother’s body at the Forensic Institute (IML) in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul.
The family then had doubts about the situation and opened the coffin which was sealed. By removing the tarpaulins that covered the body, the man was afraid of not recognizing his brother. So he decided to call the Prime Minister.
