What is the reason why Zé Felipe and Ana Castela are separating? The singer, announcing the end of the relationship this Monday (12/29), asked people to “not invent” reasons. However, surprised fans have already mentioned several theories on social networks.
The main theory put forward by fans is that Zé Felipe and Ana Castela couldn’t handle the revelation and criticism regarding their relationship.
“Lots of attacks, but everyone knows it would be like this. Having a relationship with a newly single man, an ex-husband from Virginia, an ex-couple who has a lot of fans. Maybe if they had lived more off-screen and had time to settle the dust,” wrote a fan of the ex-couple.
There are also fans who still don’t believe in the ending and bet that everything is just a marketing ploy to launch a new exploit of Ana Castela and Zé Felipe. “They’re gonna release new music, I bet that’s it,” one fan said of the relationship’s end.
A third hypothesis, much more daring, was also pointed out by spectators: Zé Felipe would have broken up with Ana Castela because he still misses Virginia Fonseca.
What will it be? In the statement on social media, the singer stressed that the end of the relationship was not motivated by fights or disagreements and asked for respect for her privacy. He also criticized the creation of rumors on social media and demanded that any attacks or speculation be directed only at him.
In the message, Zé Felipe said that the decision was made consensually and without conflicts, after conversations between the two. According to him, the breakup happened because they both understood that it was better to follow different paths at this point in their lives.
Ana Castela speaks out
Ana Castela spoke exclusively with this Metropoles columnist a few minutes after Zé Felipe announced the end of the relationship. The couple had been together since October this year and had a very intense relationship, with many exchanges of statements.
Contacted by the Chronicle, Ana Castela laughed when asked if Zé Felipe’s social networks had been hacked, because the breakup surprised fans. The cattle driver confirmed the break:

Rumors that they were a couple grew stronger in late July, when the two boarded a flight to Orlando together, months after Zé Felipe and Virgínia Fonseca’s divorce announcement. There was Disney, a distant photo and an official explanation. The advisor assured that the singer was in the United States for an international project and that Ana was just a friend. A friend with a park ticket, apparently.
Shortly after, the two men met again in Buritama, in the interior of São Paulo. Zé Felipe took the stage at a Boiadeira show to sing “Evidências,” by Chitãozinho and Xororó, the official soundtrack to relationships that still don’t mean they’re relationships. Coincidence? The public didn’t think so.
Exploit and unfollow
A few days later, the announcement of the “Sua Boca Mente” feat arrived, followed by a movement that fans quickly noticed: Gustavo Mioto, Ana Castela’s ex-boyfriend, stopped following her on social networks. Important detail: they finished in December 2024. To complete the package of clues, at the end of August, Ana and Zé Felipe even traveled together by jet. They tried to keep the description, but a friend leaked a video of the couple to their story. At the end of the month, the trip to the Pantanal arrived, now with fishing and a family reunion.
Asked about their involvement during the recording of Naiara Azevedo’s DVD, Ana Castela decided to close (or confuse) the case. When an SBT reporter asked her if she was dating Leonardo’s son, she responded directly: “No, no, I’m not. We’re fishing!” Brazil took note.
