The castration, carried out in an amateur manner, without adequate techniques, resulted in a loss estimated at R$70,000 for the animal owner. The police confirmed that the manager could be held responsible for the crime of ill-treatment, as provided for by current legislation.
During the investigation, officers also identified irregularities in the management and care of the animals by the animal owner. According to civil police, these failures may have contributed to the invasion of animals into the neighboring farm, causing disruption and damage. The owner can be held administratively or even legally responsible.
