A man was arrested in the town of Tacuru, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, on suspicion of torturing his own 12-year-old son. He was arrested last Tuesday (16), in an indigenous village in the municipality.
According to a report from the child’s mother, his hands and feet were tied by his father. She quickly left the house and left the victim with her 8-year-old brother.

At one point, the youngest son ran to his mother and informed her that the children’s father, her ex-partner, had arrived on the scene drunk and tied his older brother’s hands and feet. The boy told his mother that he had been threatened with death by his father, who was drunk, broke a bottle of alcohol and threatened the young man with the object.
As the woman tells it, the perpetrator allegedly committed violence in retaliation, because the teenager had requested child support.
