Federal government revenues experienced a real increase of 3.75% in November compared to the same period of the previous year, totaling 226.753 billion reais, and reached the highest monthly level in the series started in 1995, interrupting a slowdown, Federal Revenue reported on Monday.
After reaching a peak in real growth accumulated in the year of 4.41% in July, this figure began to fall, in a movement attributed to restrictive interest rates which cool activity and impact tax collection, rising to 3.73% in August, 3.49% in September and 3.20% in October.
However, in the cumulative period from January to November, revenues gained momentum and reached 2,594 billion reais, or 3.25% more than that recorded in the first eleven months of 2024. This value constitutes a record for the period.
In November, the resources managed by the Revenue, which include the collection of taxes under Union jurisdiction, increased by 1.06% in real terms compared to the previous year, reaching 214.398 billion reais. Revenues managed by other bodies, which include oil royalties, increased by 93.10%, reaching 12.355 billion reais.
