
Instructors and students from a combat academy in Itaim Bibi, a gentrified neighborhood in southern São Paulo, detained and attacked two motorcycle thieves this Friday morning (12/12). Both men were arrested after receiving medical treatment.
Footage circulating on social media shows staff and students, some wearing kimonos, knocking down and hitting one of the criminals. It is also possible to see the moment when they are placed in the car by the police.

According to the police report, the two criminals, aged 17 and 19, were trying to damage the ignition of a motorcycle on Rua Gomes de Carvalho.
Fighters from a nearby gym spotted and arrested the young men, preventing them from escaping.
Wounded thieves
- After fighters noticed the theft and immobilized the thieves in Itaim Bibi, south of São Paulo, the 17-year-old was injured and taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Vila Mariana.
- The 19-year-old criminal was treated and released.
- With them, the police seized tools, a knife, two cell phones, a signal blocker, a helmet and a cap.
- The motorcycle had a damaged ignition and will be examined.
The case was registered as vehicle theft, criminal act of vehicle theft and corruption of minor in the 27th Police District (Campo Belo).
