Due to residents’ regulated schedules, special meals will take place at noon and not around midnight. They should also receive gifts in the coming days.
After the official Retiro dos Artistas account published a Christmas campaign, the institution created a community fundraiser worth R$25,000. The idea is to use the money raised to buy items requested by residents, ranging from a sewing machine to a notebook. Even those who asked for symbolic things, like “health,” “love,” and a visit from family, will receive a souvenir.
Currently, famous television actors and actresses reside in the institution, such as Marcos Oliveira, Íris Bruzzi, Jaime Leibovitch, Claire Digon, Sônia Zagury and Rui Resende. Alongside them, other audiovisual professionals such as producers, directors and illuminators also reside there. Retiro has 44 inhabitants.
