The institutional portal of the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru reports that the emergency begins at 1:28 p.m. and has the support of ten units from different parts of Lima. Operational identifications include “M21-1,” “M121-1,” and “M65-1,” according to the official record.
The first versions indicate that the focus of the incident corresponds to one “Edible Products Factory” and that the possible origin responds to a “short circuit”. Local authority staff arrive on site and collect data to define the significant impacts and affected areas within the industrial area.
The emergency is classified as “Code 2”, Category that implies a greater use of resources and prescribes security measures for neighbors. Authorities ask that people keep their distance and prioritize alternative routes, while the National Police guard the perimeter and limit pedestrian and vehicle traffic to reduce possible incidents on surrounding streets.

In the sector, neighbors point out that the emergency is being controlled within the industrial area and describe a more stable scenario in the immediate area. One of them sums up the situation with a direct expression: “It’s already checked.”
Police officers maintain temporary closures at main entrances and are in direct coordination with operations management.

- keep calm: Avoid panicking as running or screaming may complicate evacuation and increase risk.

- Evacuate room: Use the established escape routes without using elevators and go to the predetermined meeting point.
- When the fire is small: If the fire is starting and you are familiar with using fire extinguishers, try to put it out. If this is not possible, evacuate immediately.
- When you’re trapped: Close doors to contain smoke and flames. Place damp cloths in the cracks and ask a window for help.
- When leaving: Do not re-enter the building until directed to do so by authorities.
