The Portuguese coach is an old acquaintance of Brazilian football. Artur Jorge arrived at Botafogo in April 2024 and changed the level of Alvinegro. Under his watch, Glorioso went from being a supporting player to being the team to beat in Brazil that season.
The consecration came with the titles and tactical domination over direct rivals during the season. The “Artur Jorge style” has become synonymous with courage and efficiency in Rio de Janeiro. The season was marked by titles won in the Campeonato Brasileiro and Libertadores.
Filipe Luís at Flamengo
Even if his contract with Flamengo is not renewed, Filipe Luís is already considered by many fans as one of the team’s greatest coaches. With just over a year in charge of the first team, the former full-back has won almost all of the titles Mengão has contested this season.
Filipe Luís had a historic year for Flamengo. With the title of champion of Brazil, he became the national football coach with the most titles in a single season. There were four titles: Supercopa do Brasil, Carioca, Libertadores and Campeonato Brasileiro.
