Pyramids reached this stage of the tournament, officially called the Challenger Cup, after beating Auckland City of New Zealand and Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia. The Egyptian team, founded in 2008, is participating in a world-class tournament for the first time.
The winner of the match between Flamengo and Pyramids will face PSG in the Intercontinental Cup final. The final of the tournament will face the current Champions League champion and is scheduled for December 17.
