Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) said, in interviews that will be broadcast on Sunday evening (12/07), that the “price” that would make him give up running for the Palácio do Planalto in 2026 would be that his father, Jair Bolsonaro, is released and can run for office.
The statement was made by Flávio in an interview with TV recordingaccording to the senator’s allies. In the interview, the eldest son of the former President of the Republic will also say that his pre-candidacy, launched on Friday (12/05), is not an attempt.
On Sunday morning, speaking to reporters before participating in an evangelical service in Brasilia, Flávio said it was possible not to go through with the elections and that there was a “price” for that. The senator, however, did not reveal what that price would be.
“It’s possible that I won’t go through with it and I have a price for that, which I will negotiate. I have a price, but I won’t tell you until tomorrow,” Flávio said.
Asked if this “prize” would be that the National Congress guides the amnesty project for those convicted of the January 8 coups, including his father, the senator from Rio de Janeiro, replied: “It’s hot.”
