Flu’s first goal was scored by Paulo Henrique Ganso. In the 29th minute of the second half, after a mistake by the Bahia defense, the number 10 anticipated defender Kanu and shot deep to open the scoring.
In the 37th minute, the score increased. Soteldo dribbled past Erick Pulga and crossed into the box. Defender Thiago Silva rose higher than everyone to score a new goal: 2 x 0 for Fluminense and a place in the Libertadores group stage.
Fluminense finishes the Brazilian Championship in 5th place. Bahia, arriving in 7th place, will have to play the preliminary phase of the Copa Libertadores.
