The National Health Monitoring Agency (Anvisa) has banned the circulation of several health products without registration with the agency. The items include cannabis oil, a dietary supplement and a pain-relieving medication. The measure was published in the Official Journal of the Union (DOU) this Tuesday (12/09).
One of the vetoed products is called Audioclean. On one sales site, the item is listed as a dietary supplement drops for hearing health and mental clarity. The ban occurred due to a lack of registration, notification or registration with Anvisa. The manufacturing company is unknown.
Another banned item, also not registered with Anvisa and from an unknown manufacturer, is called UP Life. The drug’s sales pages promise patients weight loss and localized fat reduction. The UP Life Original website points out that the product is made from plants such as senna, which has laxative properties; and horsetail, considered among other things as a diuretic. Failure to register with the Agency implies lack of proof of the promised results.
The aforementioned cannabis oil is Full Spectrum Oil 6,000 mg, sold by the Leve CDB brand. The item has no registration or authorization with Anvisa, and the manufacturer is unknown, according to the filing.
