The former president of Ecuador, Rodrigo Borja (1988-1992)died this Thursday at the age of 90, as confirmed by the Democratic Left party, founded by the former president.

The party, which did not reveal the reasons for his death, called the former president and doctor of law at the Central University of Ecuador a “full statesman”, where he worked as a professor for more than two decades.
Ecuador’s current president, Daniel Noboa, said in “Today this country honors its heritage,” he added in the brief publication.
The former president also spoke about it Guillermo Lasso (2021-2023), which received “with deep regret” the news of the death of an “honest and consistent democrat and statesman who honored the public service and institutions of Ecuador”.
