Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Federal Supreme Court), ordered the transfer of the former deputy of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Thiego Raimundo dos Santos Silva, known as TH Joias, to a federal prison.
The transfer should take place this Tuesday (16).
TH Joias was part of the allied base of Governor Cláudio Castro (PL) and Rodrigo Bacellar, dismissed president of Alerj (Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro), suspected of being involved in a possible leak from an operation against TH — who was arrested as part of Operation Zargun.
TH’s defense said it had not yet had access to the decision determining the transfer. “To date, there is no subpoena in the file addressed to the defense which confirms the existence, content or basis of a decision of this nature, which makes the full exercise of the right of defense and the regular control of procedural acts impossible,” he indicated in a note.
This Tuesday, based on the same decision as Moraes, the Federal Police arrested federal judge Macário Ramos Júdice Neto, of the TRF-2 (Federal Regional Court of the 2nd Region).
The arrest took place as part of the second phase of Operation Nail and Flesh, which is investigating the role of public officials in leaking confidential information.
