Three former senior officials of the Community of Madrid must announce investigations into martes and miércoles in regional courts for their role in the 2020 residency crisis, according to information from associations of family members of the deceased. Those present are former Directors General of the Board of Health Carlos Moore and Francisco Javier Martínez Peromingo and Ambulance Director Pablo Busca. The case has been frozen for months because many educational decisions are waiting for you to open a large case in court, a decision that corresponds to a regional hearing.
The Marea de Residencias y Verdad y Justicia associations were informed that the three former officials were cited at 10.00 in the Court of First Instance 23 of Madrid and mércoles at 10.00 at 2 in Collado Villalba. In these procedures, geriatricians are also responsible for coordination in the Gregorio Marañón and Puerta de Hierro Hospitals, respectively. These doctors were responsible for implementing filter screening protocols designed by the Health Board.
These three previous high-ranking officials and Ayuso’s former enforcer, Antonio Borguinho, have been attributed by multiple courts in the Madrid region, but no such statement has been issued so far. Those that were mentioned before were suspended for various reasons.
On May 26, the investigators claimed before the third judge of Madrid that they had not been transferred from the case, and on June 17, the judge of the 6th of Leganés suspended the procedure because they considered that the facts were similar to those that had instructed their company in the capital and that only the judge should take care of them. Deaths are investigated in different courts depending on where they occurred.
So far, no charges have been brought in a case that appears headed toward defeat for the families after a five-year legal battle. This shift is explained by emphasizing that Han makes associations guilty of discrimination in providing a public service (health assistance).
But the investigation was paralyzed over the summer when Third District Judge Maria Isabel Dorantez refused to take further action. The associations sent press notes containing details of the statements and a brief message to advertisers: “We are confident that after two battles in other courts, these former high-ranking officials will finally declare in court the discrimination to which people who lived in Madrid homes were subjected during the pandemic.”
