Fortaleza announced the hiring of Pedro Martins as the club’s new CEO, on Sunday evening (28). In this sense, the professional will assume this role after the departure of Marcelo Paz, who stayed 11 years at Leão do Pici and signed with Corinthians.
It is worth remembering that the professional holds a degree in Business Administration, an MBA in Football Industry from the University of Liverpool. The site is certified in disruptive strategy by Harvard Business School Online and in elite recruitment by the UEFA Academy.
“I am very happy and very motivated to be part of this project. Not only because of the grandeur and historical representation of Fortaleza, but also because of the challenges that await us,” said Pedro Martins.
The manager has previously been involved in sporting projects such as Athletico-PR, Cruzeiro, Botafogo, Queens Park Rangers and Santos. The CEO also contributed to the victories of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and Série A, as well as the Libertadores.
“We will work hard to bring the Club back to Serie A, but it is a challenge that we will succeed thanks to the unity of all. The support and support of the fans will be fundamental. We all expect Castelão to ensure that this objective is achieved as quickly as possible”, he concluded.
