Four urban waste containers burned early in the morning on several islands of Avenida de la Constitución in the Leonese town of Trobajo del Camino. The fires, according to the first investigations, they would have been provoked.
Municipal sources explained to Ical that … From the containers came an intense flame and a column of smoke, which made it necessary to regulate traffic in the area for safety reasons. Local police and firefighters from León attended the scene of the incident, managing to put out the fire and prevent further damage. The facts are already the subject of an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the fire and determine responsibilities.
The San Andrés del Rabanedo City Hall warned that Replacement of burned containers “seriously compromised” due to lack of economic resources “Derived from the systematic blocking of the majority of the opposition, apart from Ciudadanos and the independent councilor, at the garbage rate.”
A political decision which, as they regretted, “prevents providing the service with the necessary means”, since the events that occurred this morning are not an isolated case, but so far this year two other containers have already burned in Calle Sol, which “increases the deterioration of the service and generates an additional cost for the Town Hall”.
