Four people died this Sunday in the accident the small plane in which they flew in the French Pyreneesa few kilometers from the Spanish border, in the Ariège department.
The plane had taken off of the Saint Girons flying clubwho is the one who contacted the Lyon Aeronautical Rescue and Coordination Center when he feared not having news of his situation.
The Ariège Prefecture has since deployed a research system which included a Civil Protection helicoptersupported on the ground by police and firefighters, which made it possible to locate the plane in a difficult to access location.
They were the police mountain rescue experts who, transported by helicopter, confirmed that all four people on board were dead.
In a situation marked by fairly favorable flight conditions In the area, the authorities informed the public prosecutor’s office, which has already opened an investigation, to determine the causes of the accident.
