I too am dying to meet you, Mauro! Opened in November in the premises of the former Granado factory, at number 48 of the very trendy Rua do Senado — chosen by Time Out magazine as “the coolest in the world” — Mercado Central (Monday to Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; closed December 31 and January 1) combines gastronomy and culture and already has three spaces in operation. The Solar (formerly Solar dos Abacaxis), a cultural center celebrating its tenth anniversary with the largest exhibition in its history (Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), was already there. In the gastronomic section, Petí (Thursday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.) offers a selection of sandwiches, such as roast beef with pancs and romesco sauce (R$42), as well as shakes (R$22) and draft beer (R$12).
At Bocado (Monday to Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Thursday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.), the proposal is classic and signature drinks (from R$30), which accompany snacks and, for lunch, roasts such as chicken, caretta and roast beef (from R$54). On Thursdays (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; returning January 8), the bar hosts the Wines & Ostras event, with vinyl sets and a combo of three oysters with a glass of wine or sparkling wine (R$46). But the news keeps coming. Also in January, Suba, a restaurant serving fresh pasta and sauces, opens. During the first half of the year, the opening of the Flor.idas flower shop, a Cepage wine bar and the first café-boutique in Granado are planned. Promise, right?
