
Empresas Públicas de Medellín (Epm) informed the citizens of the Aburrá Valley of a series of planned suspensions of drinking water supplies that will affect various neighborhoods and areas in the municipalities of Medellín, Bello and Envigado for several days in December 2025.
These disruptions are due to both modernization and expansion projects of the aqueduct network and the consideration of contingencies.and have been planned to the highest technical standards to ensure the quality and continuity of service in the long term.

The suspensions are due to operational needs such as the maintenance and modernization of infrastructure, the construction of new networks and the consideration of unforeseen emergencies such as leaks or identified failures in the system. Epm noted that any outage will be communicated to the community in advance and that technical teams will work continuously to restore supply within the planned times.

Below are the details of the cuts by day, district and zone:
The neighborhoods of El Triunfo (San Cristóbal), El Progreso No. 2, Mirador Del Doce, Picachito and Picacho in the Medellín district, In addition to the Bello district of Paris, the service will stop on Wednesday, December 10th from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
In Envigado, The La Mina and San Rafael sectors will be without water from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Wednesday. In Bello, the affected addresses correspond to the area between Calle 20F and Calle 27 between Carreras 77 and 83 and between Calle 20F and Calle 20B between Carreras 77 and 78; in Medellín, between Calle 107 and Calle 97 between Carreras 85 and 87. The sector in Envigado will run from Carrera 25A to Carrera 24DD between Calle 40F South and Calle 41B South.
For Wednesday, In the same neighborhoods mentioned above in Medellín and Bello, water supply will be interrupted from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11th. The closure is also registered in the neighborhoods of Nazareth (San Cristóbal), Santa Margarita, Pajarito (San Cristóbal), Cucaracho and Monteclaro (San Cristóbal) from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m

The affected areas include Calle 64B to 64GG, between Carrera 115B and 117; in addition to other detailed sections on the Villa Campiña Stage III area and urbanizations such as Puerta del Sol, Las Flores, La Aurora and Mirador de la Huerta.
Here too there will be a six-hour interruption for El Triunfo (San Cristóbal) on Friday, December 12th between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. El Progreso No. 2, Mirador Del Doce, Picachito, Picacho in Medellín and the Bello district of Paris.
The same interval applies to the areas of Los Balsos No. 1, San Lucas, El Tesoro, Los Naranjos, Las Lomas No. 2, Altos del Poblado and La Asomadera No. 2 and includes addresses from Calle 17 Sur to Calle 16 Sur, between Carrera 25B and 30A and from Calle 12 Sur to 5 Sur, between Carrera 25 and 32 and others between Calle 10E and 18.
For Friday 12, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December, the shutdown will continue at the same night time every day from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. for the above-mentioned districts in Medellín and Bello. The same neighborhood and address coordinates are blocked with the support of the Paris supply tank.

EPM advised residents of affected neighborhoods and areas to conserve water required for the established closure periods and follow instructions communicated through official channels. The company reiterates that the measures are part of investment and modernization projects of the aqueduct network, fundamental to the stability and efficiency of future supply.
In the event of damage or leaks reported outside of scheduled times, Epm immediately activates its emergency response teams to reduce the impact on the community. and accelerate service normalization.
