Civil police from the Specialized Commission for Assistance to Women (DEAM) of Águas Lindas de Goiás, in the suburbs of DF, arrested a 38-year-old man at his workplace this Friday (12/12). The attacker invaded the house of his ex-partner, separated for two months, and destroyed household appliances, furniture and the entire food basket after threatening to kill her via audio.

Around 12:30 a.m., the investigator broke into the residence where the victim lived with her children. He cut the wires to the refrigerator, oven and television, damaged the internet and tore up all the food in the food basket, leaving the house completely destroyed.

In audios sent during the invasion, he repeated “I’m going to kill you” and insulted her with terms such as “whore, slut, robbed, disgraced and slut.”
The victim’s current partner, who had tried to help her, also received serious threats from the attacker. Upon his arrest, he confessed to the damage and the audios. Charged with threats, insults and damage under the Maria da Penha law, the man remains at the disposal of the court.
