The Brazilian team won the title of the Women’s Futsal World Cup this Sunday morning (7/12), organized in the Philippines. This is the first time that FIFA has organized a competition in this category. To win the cup, Brazil beat Portugal 3-0 in the final, thanks to goals from Emilly, Débora Vanin and star player Amandinha.

Brazil’s campaign remained undefeated: six games, six wins. In the group stage, the Brazilians beat Iran 4 x 1, Italy 6 x 1 and Panama 9 x 0. In the knockout stage, they beat Japan 6 x 1 and Spain 4 x 1 until reaching the final, demonstrating that the title was no fluke.
The team finished this first World Cup with 32 goals scored and only four conceded in six matches played. Additionally, the green and yellow team leaves the tournament with Emilly as the top scorer, scoring seven goals. Jersey number 9 was also voted best player of the competition, followed by Débora Vanin.
