A very special week for Gabi, in São Paulo, ended in frustration this Sunday (14/12), with Conegliano’s defeat against Scandicci in the final of the Women’s Club World Championship.
Jersey 1 left Ginásio do Pacaembu clearly upset at not winning the title in front of his mother, girlfriend, friends and thousands of fans.
– Very frustrating. We couldn’t win today’s game. We had a lot of chances, especially in the first set, if we had closed that set maybe it would have been a different story. But it’s a great learning experience. Facing big teams, you have to make the most of it, to be able to finish the set, especially the match. But I am very moved by the affection of the Brazilian public. He has supported me since the beginning of the championship – said Gabi, chosen for the selection of the competition.
And there was no shortage of people to really support her. Many volleyball fans were at Pacaembu Gym exclusively to see her. Posters, banners, gifts and hysterical cries have become commonplace.
