More comfortable than it seems and full of useful features, the Buds3 FE comes up against a price and compromises that take it away from true value for money.
Samsung is positioning the Galaxy Buds3 FE as the gateway for those who want a TWS headset with noise cancellation, a modern design and a touch of “adult” features, but without paying a premium price. In practice, it fulfills part of this whole… and stumbles precisely where it could not: in terms of cost-benefit ratio.
The design immediately catches the eye – and, yes, it proudly copies the AirPods (as the Buds line has already done with other models). The stems make everything more stable, help with voice capture, and on a daily basis I find this more ergonomic than any AirPod other than the Pro. It’s simple, it’s discreet and it works. And, to my surprise, the comfort was better than I expected: you can wear it for long periods of time without feeling that uncomfortable pressure in your ear. Positive point.
Inside, it has Bluetooth 5.4, AAC codec support and IP54 certification. This means that sweat, dust and splashes won’t be a problem, which already makes the Buds3 FE a good option for training or racing. The battery also pleases: between 6 and 8 hours per charge, depending on ANC usage, with the case offering enough recharges to triple that time and a quick 10 minutes in the box guaranteeing about two more hours. When traveling, it makes a difference.
