Galicia received three statuettes for its sustainability strategy
BrandStudio for Eikon Awards
Galicia was one of the big protagonists of the last edition of the Eikon Awards: the bank won three statuettes that reflected the maturity and consistency of its sustainability strategy. The financial company was recognized in the categories “Inclusion and Financial Literacy”, “Sustainability Report” and “Cultural Sustainability”, making it one of the main winners of the 28th edition of the traditional awards for excellence in institutional communication.
The Eikon Prize jury recognized the innovative approach with which Galicia promotes financial education throughout the country. Access to the financial system has become more widespread in recent years due to the proliferation of digital wallets. However, this involvement was not accompanied by training. According to a study by Junior Achievement (2024), seven out of ten young people admit that they do not know how to manage their money and six out of ten get information via social networks.

Faced with this scenario, the Galicia team launched “Finanzas a Mano”, a free and virtual financial education platform with content certified by the University of Buenos Aires (UBA-CBC). It won an Eikon Award in the new “Inclusion and Financial Literacy” category.
The initiative combines pedagogical innovation, technology and territorial impact and is part of a comprehensive strategy that the Bank has been promoting for more than 15 years to provide tools to promote financial inclusion.
Finanzas a Mano enables young people across the country to develop skills to make better financial decisions. The design, carried out jointly with EIDOS Global and volunteers from the bank, integrates a tutor with artificial intelligence, gamified microlearning resources and capsules recorded by references from Galicia. Content covers everything from budgets and savings to cybersecurity and digital fraud prevention.
Through the platform, the Galicia team reached more than 10,000 young people, and the initiative was complemented by face-to-face workshops in collaboration with the Conciencia Foundation, more than 50 social organizations and the Galicia Multipliers Network. In total, they have already trained more than 23,000 young people across the country.
“We believe financial education is a tool for inclusion. This recognition reflects our commitment to a collaborative strategy that delivers real impact,” he said. Constanza GorleriSustainability Manager of Galicia.
This comprehensive approach – bringing together actors from the public, private, academic and social sectors – was highlighted by the Eikon jury as an example of effective articulation and targeted communication.
In addition to the award in the areas of inclusion and financial education, the financial institution was also recognized in the sustainability report and cultural sustainability categories: it was positioned as one of the big winners of this edition of Eikon.
Galicia’s Integrated Report was recognized for its clear, transparent and accessible presentation, which comprehensively reflects the company’s economic, social and environmental performance. The document summarizes the progress and results of its sustainability strategy and coherently shows how ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) criteria are integrated into its management, decision-making and relationships with various stakeholders.
Galicia Multiplica, in turn, was recognized for establishing itself as a corporate volunteer program that promotes a culture based on purpose and collective action. In 2024, more than 40,000 volunteer hours and 62 projects conducted across the country reflected the internal community’s commitment to social and environmental issues.
The central milestone of the plan was the first “Multiplica Day”, a CO2-neutral event launched together with suppliers that was intended to mobilize the team from inspiration to concrete action. It was a day of testimonies, interactive activities and spaces to connect with the institutional purpose, attended by more than 170 people who expressed full satisfaction with the day.
