GLOBO chooses the 10 biggest revelations of Brasileirão 2025; see the ranking

This is the third year in a row that Palmeiras has won the vote, after attackers Endrick, currently at Real Madrid, and Estêvão, currently at Chelsea, were voted highlights of 2023 and 2024. But unlike the two boys — awarded at 17 and already exported to an increasingly precocious football market — Allan came out a little more mature. At 21, he really impressed throughout the second half of this year, when Alviverde’s level increased and intensified the fight for main titles with Flamengo.

— These are not all phenomena that explode at 16, 17 years old. For the vast majority, maturation happens later, at 19 or 20 years old. We knew Allan’s abilities. You have to be patient, believe in the players and promote them, which the coaches of Palmeiras and Abel Ferreira do very well — explains João Paulo Sampaio, coordinator of the youth categories of the São Paulo club.

But you don’t have to be part of a well-oiled team to stand out. The 2025 podium is completed by Gui Negão, a striker who has experienced Corinthians’ fluctuations throughout the year and is now in the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil, and Ricardo Mathias, an Internacional striker who only escaped relegation in the last round. Another proof, the presence on the list of three Santos jewels, who also flirted with the fall.

Rayan outside the voting criteria

This is the ninth year that the GLOBO team comes together to recognize the jewels of Serie A. Brazilian players under the age of 23 who have played at least a third of the matches (13) of the championship and who have not participated in a greater number of matches in previous editions of this league or other national leagues are eligible. For this reason, the striker Rayan, vasco phenomenon, does not appear in the ranking. He was the 13th best placed in 2024.

Previous year winners

• Estêvão’s meteoric rise shows no signs of slowing down. Recruited by Chelsea, he is, at 18, the top scorer for the Brazilian team under the era of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

• Sold at a very young age by Palmeiras to Real Madrid, Endrick has experienced ups and downs since the start of his European career and is still looking to establish himself in the Brazilian jersey.

• Vice-champion of the Libertadores with Athletico, Vitor Roque did not take off for Europe and returned to Brazil to defend Palmeiras. It was worth it. A highlight of this year was his return to the national team.

• Another revelation from Xerém, midfielder André is traded to Wolverhampton in 2024 and establishes himself as a starter within the English team. He reached the national team, but lost place.

• A versatile player, capable of playing as a midfielder or right-back, Gabriel Menino stayed at Palmeiras for another four years. He played last season as a reserve at Atlético-MG.

• Michael shone for Goiás with lots of speed and good dribbling. This is his second stint at Flamengo, but his best time was at Saudi Al-Hilal, coached by Jorge Jesus.

• Created by Fluminense, striker Pedro participated in the 2022 World Cup with the national team and is one of the highlights of Flamengo, where he has won titles, including two Libertadores and two Brazilians.
