In the coming year, O GLOBO is giving a boost to the future by investing in innovation and new formats to reach its readers. All this without losing sight of its century-old legacy of quality information, as well as a careful look at the most important events of 2026, which will have among the highlights the national elections and the World Cup.
In 2026, 001st year of its future, O GLOBO will also intensify the search for new content production and distribution formats, favoring direct and transparent contact with readers. One of the highlights is the newsletter menu, which currently has more than 30 options sent periodically by email, allowing both a closer relationship with the public and the possibility of responding to the most diverse interests.

Recent launches, which will continue to be accessible to readers in 2026, include newsletters such as “My children, my rules? ”, which receives real questions from fathers, mothers and caregivers of children and adolescents, listening to professionals who help them think about these questions; and the newsletter “O Crítica Antigourmet,” which tours the restaurants of São Paulo — without notice to the houses — to give readers an accurate and real insight into what is served on the tables of São Paulo.

And GLOBO will continue to expand this menu throughout the year. In January, launches are planned, such as a series from Health Editor-in-Chief Adriana Dias Lopes to encourage readers to start exercising and maintain activity; and also the launch of the weekly newsletter by Michel Alcoforado, anthropologist and author of the best-seller “Coisa de rico”, which will have a printed version in Segundo Caderno.
The year will also include new newsletters from Mariana Coutinho, on how to reduce distractions to optimize your time; and by journalist Ruan de Sousa Gabriel, linking faith, culture and behavior.
From elections to the World Cup
For election coverage, which will gain even more momentum in 2026, the new version of the research aggregator Rali, launched in November by GLOBO in partnership with the Instituto Locomotive, will function as a compass of voter mood. The tool brings together surveys on voting intentions and popularity of the president and governors published by different institutes. New, the platform will also make it possible to correlate economic indicators with the evaluation of the federal government, in addition to making comparisons with the performances of former presidents during each period.

Rali will join other special spaces of the Politics section, such as “Pulso”, with in-depth analyzes of electoral research; and “Sonar,” which focuses on political debate on networks, increasingly affected by the use of artificial intelligence, and its impact on voters’ decision-making. Coverage will also include real-time tracking of results from both rounds of the election, updated every second, including detailed maps and reports that will reveal who the leading candidates are and their alliances in each state.
Additionally, in April, new newsletters will join “Jogo Político”, from the editor-in-chief of Politics and Brazil, Thiago Prado, and will focus on the 2026 elections. Among the topics covered by these new newsletters will be the digital warfare of campaigns and electoral research data.

Coverage of the World Cup, which will take place for the first time in three countries – the United States, Mexico and Canada – with an unprecedented 48 teams, will feature behind-the-scenes, special series and big stories from the World Cup in different formats. In addition to analyzes and technical columns with match readings, one of the objectives of the newspaper will be to deliver everything the reader needs to know before, during and after each match.
The new year is also an opportunity for the public to access lesser-known angles of the newspaper. With the “O GLOBO por Dentro” project, which has already won a special section on the GLOBO website, the newspaper will open its editorial staff to readers, offering a direct look at the processes that structure its journalistic production.
Next month, to mark the official launch of the initiative, a video will show in detail the functioning of the editorial office, including the studio, the meeting agenda, the process of closing editions and publications in real time, among other aspects.
“O GLOBO por Dentro” will also bring together videos that will present in more detail journalistic production and certain aspects of the daily life of the editorial staff. In addition, the project is also expected to expand channels for dialogue with readers. The GLOBO team of journalists will respond, via video, to messages and letters sent to the newspaper, and a weekly overview will highlight the subjects that most mobilized the public throughout the week.
Reporters and editors will also record, almost daily, short videos, posted on social media and on the newspaper’s website homepage, in which they detail behind-the-scenes reporting and special features. Additionally, professionals from all editorial fields will recommend books, films, series and other content, strengthening the newspaper’s presence beyond the confines of its pages.

GLOBO will also maintain its efforts on the development and responsible use of artificial intelligence in the service of the public interest. In addition to initiatives such as “Com a Palavra”, with reports that analyze large volumes of speeches of politicians and personalities with the help of AI, and the Irineu project, which today presents summaries of the reports published on the website, other novelties have already begun to be presented to readers, such as weekly reviews of letters sent to the newspaper, divided by the most mentioned themes.
— We are attentive to the evolution of our readers’ consumption habits. Our efforts for 2026 align with GLOBO’s goal of being where the audience is and delivering our content in the most appropriate format: videos, interactivity, newsletters — concludes Luiza Baptista, GLOBO Digital Strategy Editor.
