Midfielder Tetê accepted the details of the offer to wear the jersey of Grêmio again, the club that revealed him. Despite this, there is still one task to complete to close the deal: convincing Panathinaikos, owner of the player’s economic rights. Especially since Immortal’s intention is to send a proposal, initially, for a one-year loan and the payment of 1.5 million euros (nearly R$10 million at the current exchange rate).
In addition to proposing the inclusion of a purchase clause at the end of the contract with the pass set at 4 million euros (around R$26 million at the current price). However, reports from Greece indicate that a deal with the European club might not be so simple. After all, the wish would be to allow Tetê’s immediate release only if he received a definitive attack.
By the way, Panathinaikos’ request for the player’s transfer would amount to around 5 million euros (almost 32 million reais at the current price). The Greek club’s position is explained by the fact that it still has a long-term contract with the midfielder: until June 2028.
Grêmio could have an important ally in the negotiations
Even if the European club does not facilitate a positive outcome in the negotiations, the Tricolor Rio Grande do Sul benefits from the help of the player’s representative, Pablo Bueno. Once a tormentor of the Rio Grande do Sul club in previous administrations due to the history of controversies regarding disagreements involving other clients, the current scenario appears to be different.
After all, the agent has already indicated that he intends to collaborate with the new administration, which recently took power in Grêmio, led by President Odorico Roman. Therefore, if it is necessary to unblock conversations between clubs, it is not excluded that the agent goes to Greece.
