Grêmio has opened negotiations to try to recruit midfielder Evertton Araújo, from Flamengo. At 22, the player is expected to strengthen the midfield when building the team for 2026. Negotiations are still in their initial stages, but progress is expected in the coming days. The first information comes from GZH.
According to information, Tricolor Gaúcho has not yet formalized an official proposal to Flamengo. The idea of the management is to transform the dialogue into direct negotiation with the Rio club, giving more clarity to the terms and possibilities of the agreement.
Evertton Araújo has a contract with Flamengo until December 2028. At Grêmio it is recognized that negotiations require caution, because the opponent is in no hurry to sell the athlete. Values can reach around 5 million euros, or around R$32 million at current prices.
The young midfielder was not an outright starter in 2025, but he was a constant presence throughout the season. Under the command of Filipe Luís, he participated in 36 matches, gaining place as a rotation player and frequent alternative in the sector.
Grêmio currently has Cuéllar and Dodi. Despite the confidence that the Colombian will have a good run in 2026, Tricolor Gaúcho wants to reformulate the sector for next season.
