An unusual episode in Kazakhstan became the most shared viral video on Christmas Eve. A motorist who wanted to carry out an exhibition maneuver ended up destroying the largest symbol of the holiday in the city of Saryagash, which earned him rejection on social networks and an unexpected end after his attempt to escape.
What was intended to be a “drift show” ended in an aesthetic and road-technical disaster. The surveillance cameras in the central square captured the exact moment when the vehicle, after losing control during a series of spins, collided directly with a huge Christmas tree, knocking it over in front of the astonished gaze of the few passers-by.
After the impact, the driver did not stop to assess the damage; On the contrary, he accelerated fully and fled the scene of the accident at full speed. However, his anonymity was short-lived: thanks to the city’s surveillance system, local authorities managed to locate the vehicle and the person responsible within a few hours.
Beyond the traffic fines, the local justice system has given him a special task. As the RT media reported, the man was forced to personally help with the restoration work of the damaged tree in order to bring the city back into the festive mood.
Anger in the networks: They gave him the nickname “The Grinch”
The video soon made its way to Twitter, where users quickly dubbed the ruthless man “The Grinch of Kazakhstan.” Memes and ironic comments flooded the network, comparing the driver to the famous green character who hates Christmas and tries to ruin it.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and thanks to the “forced labor” of the person responsible, the Saryagash tree once again showed its lights in time for the toast, leaving a lesson in traffic responsibility on a day when safety is a top priority.
