Gustavo Mioto stars in Cinderella and the Poor Millionaire’s Secret, Globoplay’s first vertical drama and original soap opera. In the plot, which begins next Friday (12/12), the singer plays Diego, a millionaire who becomes involved with Cindy, played by Maya Aniceto. New to acting, he spoke about the recording process, including the intimate scenes between the fictional couple.
Mioto said that, for the story, he needed to record sequences that explore the characters’ intimacy, which is completely new to him.
“As for the scenes, Maya was very nice. I had kissed once before (on the recording), but working and bringing the shoot to life was very strange. There were a lot of people around, it was very strange at first,” he told CCXP25. “I came to Maya and asked her, ‘How is it going? What are the limits?’.”
The singer said that despite the initial nervousness, the experience was a great learning experience. “It’s really cool to come and take a chance on something new, something that you have no experience with, or don’t have at all, like that, and start learning something from scratch,” he said.
In the plot, Cindy is a talented singer and single mother who falls in love with Diego, a mysterious millionaire who pretends to be poor and a musician to seduce her. Mioto emphasized the importance of the partnership with Maya in the most delicate sequences: “Thanks to her and the coach who helped, the understanding was very light.”
The novel will have 50 chapters, each lasting up to two minutes. The first seven will be available on all Globoplay accounts and the rest will only be available to subscribers.
