A Gusttavo Lima show was almost canceled in Cuiabá (MT) on Friday (12/19) after the stage prepared to receive the country singer gave way before the show. In a video shared on social media, the singer appears to apologize to his fans and assure them that he would continue to perform, even after hours of waiting.
The show, scheduled for the beginning of the afternoon, did not begin until 12:40 a.m. the next day. “It’s a shame when it’s late, but I thought this show wouldn’t even happen,” Gusttavo told the audience. The compatriot also said that he had done his best to reduce the delay.

According to the singer’s information, the stage was set up in the early afternoon of Friday 19/12, around 2 p.m. However, one of the structures in the central part collapsed around 9 p.m., forcing the team to dismantle and reassemble everything.
“I asked the producer what time it would start, and he said 2 a.m., and I said no,” he continued. “There are people waiting here since 5 p.m., since 6 p.m. I just know these production guys did it, but in this way, they really did it,” Gusttavo added, to applause from the audience.
The show was part of the celebrations for the inauguration of the Cuiabá Central Hospital, a project that lasted 34 years. “They waited 34 years for the hospital to be ready, a few hours longer,” one fan joked on social media.
“It took a while, but when the ambassador arrived, it was all over. What a perfect man,” said another. “The show was great, it’s a shame that it started late. The organization didn’t know how to check if everything was going well beforehand,” asks a third.
