protagonist daughter of fire, Disney series said Nation What was it like filming in San Martin de los Andes with Eugenia “China” Suarez And what were the two months of coexistence like between Mauro Icardi’s current partner and the actors? Meanwhile, he continues to work on a ’90s-inspired audio-visual project, which he can’t reveal yet but whose character will definitely get people talking.
-You play as Juan Daughter of Fire: Revenge of the Bastard (With Eleonora Wexler, Diego Cremonesi, Carlos Peluso, Geronimo Busia), What is your role?
—Well, China Suarez’s character takes revenge again, and there she finds her childhood love, her first boyfriend, and the game begins between them. She comes by another name. At first I don’t know if it is him or not, but with the passage of time the love begins again. There’s also the issue of the law, because I play a police officer. They had a very strong love as children, which was broken after her mother died. For her, my character represents what is pure and what is healthy for her.
-And about him?
—He is a man who was devastated as a child, with a complicated childhood, absent parents and a brother who acted as father. He has a drug past that touches dark places, but he manages to get out and become a police officer; Not for love of the profession, but because it changes and goes to extremes, but she is very ethical, wants to do things well and believes in justice. He is about to get married, and he does not know if he wants to continue with the force because there are fraudulent things and he is passionate about enforcing the law, which for him is the law of life.
– It was recorded last year in San Martin de los Andes…
– Yes, and in Buenos Aires. Going there to work was nice, I love travelling. Maybe it was more difficult for people with kids because they wanted to go back, and it wasn’t comfortable for them, but we enjoyed it, and the group became very united, and we ate out, and it was fun, and it was like a graduation trip. I also shared a cast with amazing actors, very down to earth people who get involved and have fun.
– How was your relationship with Eugenia during these two months, considering that she was in the media spotlight for a long time?
-We were not sorry. She’s a very good teammate, she knows the job well, she’s set up management, she has a lot of court, and being the protagonist is like being the leader of the team.
-Didn’t the fragments of the scandals reach the filming location?
– I think everything was calm at that moment, but I have no idea about anything and China’s personal life was not included in the recordings.
– In the middle of a movie premiere Daughter of scoundrels I took a quick trip to Mexico.
– Yes, I am a visual artist and I had an exhibition in Puerto Vallarta, so I was gone for less than a week. This year I started in Spain, where I made two films in four months. I’ve been to Uruguay, I’ve done that coppola, Acting course in Mexico…but my base is in Buenos Aires and I would like to stay here for a long time. I’ve lived in Mexico for ten years, and it’s a bit like home; Every year I go to work, I have a group of actor friends who are my brothers, and I had three partners there.
-You left there a long time ago, how was it?
-I went aimlessly to see what happened to my life. What I was working on was going well, and it wasn’t because of anything financial, but I was tired, and I talked to a friend who was about to graduate and told him I was going to Mexico for a month. I quit, sold everything and said: I’m going to live on the beach.
-With the idea of acting?
– No, I was always shy and it didn’t occur to me, it was about art. But one day I was on the beach and a woman asked me if I was an actor. I told her no but she encouraged me to do anything. There was a selection for an ad in the Dominican Republic and I stayed. I was on a journey of searching for myself and finding out who I was. After that, I returned to Playa del Carmen and bought a motorcycle to go to Mexico City, without knowing how to ride a motorcycle, in a country I did not know, and when I arrived I started studying acting. After six months, I ran out of money and there was a scholarship for TV Azteca and I stayed. I studied there from Monday to Saturday, 11 hours a day, and after a year I decided to resign. Two months later I did crow club, Netflix’s first Spanish-language series, the platform had just launched, and employed 40 people. At that moment they told me I couldn’t do any more advertising due to a contract issue and I started painting and selling my artwork. The series eventually ran for four seasons and spin off From my personality.
– Why did you choose Mexico?
—A year ago I went on vacation and really liked it, it was great.
– Here you did not study acting, but you studied things related to art.
– I studied fine arts, architecture, and graphic design. When I left I was working in design for a multinational company and had clients independent, In addition to a sushi restaurant with my friends.
– How did you feel when you left?
-I remember it as a feeling of extreme freedom, as if I was a child. Here were things that classified me, the place I was born, the family, the community.
– Did your family support you in this adventure? Were there any artists in your family?
My father is a painter, but he started when he was older, at the age of 45. But when I was a kid I didn’t like art. My parents were always supportive, but they were studying. When I was a kid, they always took me to art classes.
-And come back? Was it as reckless as the first flight?
-no. The pandemic hit me in Mexico, everything was more open, there it was completely different and I had a job in Miami for six months and I was sad, I was coming from a bad moment with a partner and I missed Argentina, I wanted to go back for a long time (feeling excited). When you are oriented and do the things you need to do, life takes off so that everything goes well.
-What happened here?
-Yes. After 15 days, the casting director called me franklin The Story Of The Bill, But they told me I was too cute for the part, so I went to Isla Maciel, cut my hair and eyebrows, got false teeth, and the director said yes. I wanted nothing more in the world than to make an Argentinian film, and so the work began.
– Now you’re recording, intense days, what’s up?
They won’t let me say…
– It is said that you will play a character in… biography It takes place in the 1990s.
-(silence)
– Don’t say the name, but it will raise controversy and will definitely be talked about.
-(He laughs).
– We remained the same in the nineties. She played Polly Armentano in the Coppola series, directed by Ariel Winograd.
– Yes, the 90s were cinematically amazing: a lot of partying and showing off… Shooting with Wino, who gave me all the freedom to do what I wanted, and with Minujin, whom I admire deeply, is like playing with Diego. The gameplay was endless and I had a great time.
– Do you know how 2026 will come?
-No, I want to spend New Year and Christmas with my family. I have projects abroad, but it’s time to stop. I’m 40 years old, kickboxing and want to compete in Thailand in January and then work. As well as premieres of things you’ve already done, that don’t have a date, like the new season of coppola, A premiere in Mexico and another in Spain of a film directed by Alex de la Iglesia.
-Back to the present, you are in Argentina recording. And as a couple?
– No, not now. I’ve always had faith in dating and decided to just be alone, go through it, live it, and see what happens. I’m fine with me.
-And in your free time?
-I like to play sports, meet friends, and travel a lot around the country by motorcycle; The wind hitting you in the face is another thing. And I also draw. I never explained here, at some point I will.
