The spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Andalusian Parliament and deputy general secretary of the PSOE of Andalusia, María Márquez, highlighted this Thursday that the former president of the National Society of Industrial Participations (SEPI), Vicente Fernández, arrested last Wednesday, “is not an activist … of the PSOE”, and “for many years it was not part of the” central government.
This was indicated by the leader of the PSOE-A in an interview with the media at the Andalusian Parliament and in journalists’ questions about the arrest of Vicente Fernández, who became president of the SEPI after the appointment of María Jesús Montero as Minister of Finance, and who, during his mandate as Andalusian advisor to the current first vice-president of the government and secretary general of the PSOE-A. He held positions within the Andalusian Executive at the stage of socialist government.
María Márquez responded that Vicente Fernández “is not a member of the Socialist Party.” “And, as far as I know, For several years, I think about six years, he has not been part of the government.has in no way any relations with the Government”, added the parliamentary spokesperson before adding that “we will have to wait for more information to make a more in-depth assessment”.
“For the moment he is not a member of the party, he has not had any relations with the government for many years and we have no information at the moment,” insisted María Márquez to resolve the issue.
