After spending nearly a decade under contract, Nazareno Solís will officially stop belonging to Boca Juniors next December 31st. It will be the end of an atypical story in Argentine football: he was linked to the club for ten years only played four games with the blue and gold shirt and eight consecutive loans which took him to various destinations at home and abroad. At 31, the winger finally found continuity and belonging at Deportivo Madryn, where he will continue his career until December 2026.
Solís’ departure comes as part of the Squad cleaning that Boca began planning for the 2026 preseason. In this context, farewells with greater impact have already been known, such as that of Frank Fabra either Cristian Lemabut the name of the Campana-born footballer appeared almost silently, true to a career that always took place away from the lightning.
Solís arrived in Boca in August 2016during the cycle of Guillermo Barros Schelotto, coming from Talleres and with high expectations. He even quickly won the fans’ sympathy when he confessed his fanaticism for the club: “I’m fulfilling a dreamIt is a unique leap in my career. “Very few dream of playing for the club they are a fan of,” he said at the time.
However, this dream didn’t last long on the field. With the Boca shirt He only played four official gamesIn the 2016/17 season, in which he only started once and came off the bench for three, he scored no goals and contributed two assists, which ended with Xeneize’s championship title.
Their performances were: 20 minutes in the 4-0 against Temperley, 2 minutes in the 4-1 against Colón, another 25 minutes in the 1-0 against Defensa y Justicia and 62 minutes in the 1-1 against Patronato.
From there it started an extended pilgrimage on loan: Huracán, San Martín de San Juan, Aldosivi, OFI Creta de Grecia, Alvarado, Patronato, Gimnasia de Mendoza and Deportivo Madryn. Eight transfers that reflect a bet that was never fully consolidated in the Ribera.
Paradoxically, Solís achieved the stability in the south that had eluded him for years. At Deportivo Madryn he became a key player of the team led by Leandro Gracián: he played 37 games, scored five goals and provided ten assists between the First National and the Reduced for Promotion. Aurinegro were on the verge of promotion to the Primera, with crucial defeats against Gimnasia de Mendoza and Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, but the former Boca’s performance was one of the highlights of the season.
With this football and this emotional support, Solís made the decision to finally end his relationship with Boca and continue in Madryn. “My contract with Boca ends on December 31st. It was a very long process while the contract was in force.” I am convinced that I will achieve great things with Madryn“, said the striker recently, who will sign a contract until the end of 2026.
Boca is putting an end to that one of the longest and most unique contract cycles in its recent history. Solís leaves without being able to demonstrate his talent in La Bombonera, but with the certainty of having found his own place in Argentine football after so many years of suitcases and transfers.
For Xeneize, it’s another way out in reconfiguring the roster; For the player, it is the final conclusion of a phase that has lasted almost ten years and the beginning of a new one, this time with more continuity and a sense of belonging.
Solis’ professional career It started in 2014 at Villa Dálminewhere he stood out for his speed, explosiveness and offensive talent on the left wing. This performance took him to workshopsa club where he made a leap in quality, had a great season and achieved promotion to the First Division.
His growth attracted the interest of Boca, who, after several negotiations, completed his arrival in 2016, also fulfilling the dream of the player, a self-confessed Xeneize fan.
