
After eight months without publishing any new work, Omar Montes announced a radical change in his professional career: the singer decided to change microphones for world of kebab.
As the artist noted, the recipe for his kebab “only Michael Jackson” and his “father” knew and, for a snack, those interested should go to the new location that will open this Thursday in the Plaza Río 2 shopping center, in Madrid: “When I was a child, I stole so many kebabs that I learned to make the most special one.”
Faced with this unexpected event, Let’s see was able to speak live with Antonio Maroto, partner of Omar Montes in his new adventure: “I think that Omar will never leave music, but it is true that lately he has commented that His dream was to create a kebab chain. We set to work to generate a new identity for these kebabs. “We want to release a different product that identifies with what Omar likes and wants and what we are going to launch this afternoon is the result of all that.”
Regarding the product they will offer, Maroto emphasized: “What we tried with these kebabs is to design a different breadso it’s not the one you buy at the supermarket, but we make it by taking high quality product. “It’s not the typical curly meat, but we’re looking for good quality meat.”
Finally, the artist’s companion explained where Omar’s dream came from: “It’s something he really wanted to do; also, because of his father’s tradition, he really wanted to pay homage to him (…). Omar’s father was the first to bring kebabs to Spain and, in fact, he owned nearly twenty or thirty restaurants. “His experience has been used to improve our cuisine.”
