His wife condemns Raphinha’s absence from FIFA team: ‘What injustice’

‘The Best’ event, organized by FIFA to reward the world’s best players last season, was criticized for Raphinha’s absence. Thus, the wife of the Brazilian star, Natalia Belloli, used social networks to express her indignation at the situation.

In her message, the content producer questions Raphinha’s exclusion from the men’s team. In fact, she used irony, because according to her, FIFA ignored the Brazilian’s performance last season.

“62 goals and assists, but Raphinha didn’t deserve to be in the starting team… Raphinha is a basketball player? How unfair!”, the influencer was indignant.

Raphinha’s exceptional season

His wife’s irritation that Raphinha was not present in the FIFA men’s team the previous season is plausible. After all, the striker was one of Barcelona’s standout players alongside Lamine Yamal during this period. This exceptional phase was also evident in the figures obtained. That’s because he scored 34 goals and 22 assists in 57 matches.

According to the entity, the choice of the 11 ideals uses fan votes and a shortlist of experts that FIFA itself chooses as criteria. In this diagram, the definition of each group has the same value, 50%, in the final result.

Thus, the 11 best players, according to the FIFA vote, were: Gianluigi Donnarumma; Achraf Hakimi, William Pacho, Vigirl Van Dijk, Nuno Mendes; Vitinha, Pedri, Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer; Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembélé.

Another situation that became a reason for condemnation is the fact that Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé was among the three finalists for the best player in the world award. However, he is not part of the ideal 11. The individual award went to his compatriot and teammate Ousmane Dembélé, from PSG.
