Homeless man killed after attack in Rio Grande

A 56-year-old homeless man died after being attacked in the early hours of this Sunday (16), in Rio Grande, in the southern region of Rio Grande do Sul. According to the civil police, he was attacked with pieces of wood by several people on Avenida dos Bandeirantes, in the Vila Junção neighborhood, where he lived.

Emergency services were called, but the victim died instantly. The crime occurred around 12:30 a.m. and was recorded as a homicide. The suspects have not yet been identified. Civil police are investigating the matter.
