Software outage affects 2023 to 2025 models, affects 546 units, requires free update at dealerships
Honda has announced a recall of the Accord Advanced Hybrid after identifying a defect that could cause an unexpected loss of power, as reported by Mundo do Automobile para PCD. The problem concerns vehicles manufactured between 2023 and 2025 in Brazil.
The campaign reaches exactly 546 units of the hybrid sedan. Additionally, the service has already started on December 2, 2025. The system update will be free and carried out at authorized dealers.
The fault comes from the propulsion management module software. Under certain conditions, the system may restart incorrectly. As a result, drive cycle data may be lost during use.
As a result, the vehicle may experience an unexpected power reduction. This behavior increases the risk of accidents, particularly in the event of overtaking. In addition, the failure may not meet the technical requirements of current regulations.
Faced with this scenario, the brand advises owners to find a dealer as soon as possible. Updating is quick and only requires advance planning. Thus, the service is carried out without queues or unnecessary delays.
