The State Secretariat for Public Security (SSP-SP) said the group had taken 23 38 caliber revolvers, 12 12 caliber shotguns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
Security cameras captured the moment the trio captured the company’s doorman, as he opened the door to the establishment without noticing the suspects’ approach. The group wore caps to cover their faces and pointed guns at the employee. They forced the worker to lie down on the ground.
The thieves were waiting for other employees to arrive, who were also immobilized. They used security guards’ facial recognition to gain access to the weapons room and steal the arsenal. The victims were kept in a room. No one was injured.
The theft took place around 7 a.m. this Sunday on Rua Antônio José Viveira. The case is being investigated by the 11th Police District in Santo Amaro.
Military police swept the area and searched the surrounding area, but no suspects were located. The SSP-SP indicated that “searches continue to locate the criminals and recover the stolen weapons and ammunition.”
