Bill proposes four-hour limit on reserved parking
The project of Councilor Marcelo Bernardi (PSDB) which sets the maximum time spent in spaces reserved for disabled people and people with ASD at four hours was examined by the Porto Alegre City Hall.
Today, city law sets the limit at two hours, which Bernardi says does not meet the needs of those who rely on these spaces for longer-term commitments, like medical treatments and specialized therapies.
The parliamentarian affirms that this measure represents progress in terms of inclusion and guarantee of rights, making the system more adapted to the realities faced by people with disabilities.
