The 19-year-old influencer remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Erasto Gaertner Hospital, in Curitiba (PR), a benchmark in oncological treatment, where she has been receiving intensive care since the end of November.
In recent days, the family has begun sharing more encouraging updates, including after undergoing a tracheotomy, a procedure indicated for prolonged intubation. Isabel’s husband, Lucas Borbasused social networks to reassure her subscribers by confirming that the operation took place without incident and that the young woman continues to be closely monitored by the medical team!
Respiratory crisis and prolonged hospitalization
Isabel was first taken to intensive care on November 27, after suffering a severe respiratory attack that required immediate intubation. There was, initially, a slight improvement in his condition, which allowed him to be transferred to a room and to resume spontaneous breathing, still with nutritional support by tube.
However, in early December, the recovery suffered a setback. On December 4, the influencer was intubated again after developing severe pneumonia and returned to intensive care. Since then, he has remained on mechanical ventilation for more than three weeks, leading the medical team to opt for a tracheotomy as part of the respiratory stabilization process.
