In 2025, the performance of Formula 1 has had a direct impact on the category’s cash flow, this is due to the continued growth of the sport under Liberty Media’s leadership. This year, the competition generated about $3.7 billion in revenue, about 45 percent of which went to the teams.
Within the amount collected, 75% is aligned with the prize money, distributed to teams based on their ranking in the Manufacturers’ Championship, while the remaining 25% is paid out as a bonus.
How does the price distribution work?
The total amount reserved for the 2025 season prize pool is estimated between $1.25 and $1.6 billion. THE McLarenthe champion team of the 2025 Manufacturers’ Championship, led the distribution and won $175 million in prize money. While the Mercedeswhich finished the season in second place, received approximately $164 million.
Already third in the championship, Red Bull received an estimated prize of 152 million US dollars, having maintained the same position as the previous season. While the Scuderia Ferrariwho finished the competition in fourth place, received a value of $141 million.
THE Williams was one of the highlights of the 2025 championship, moving from ninth to fifth place in one year. With this improvement, the English team began to receive approximately 130 million US dollars.
At the bottom of the table are the teams Racing bullswhich received 119 million dollars, Aston Martin with 107 million dollars and the Haaswhich raised $96 million, followed by F1 Staking. The Brazilian team Gabriel Bortoleto obtained approximately 85 million US dollars.
Finally, the French Alpine had a difficult championship and finished the season in last place. The price received was therefore only $75 million.

Although prize money is only part of the amount teams receive each year, they also receive support from sponsorships, merchandise sales and commercial partnerships. The current distribution reinforces the importance of the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship, where each position obtained can have an impact on the team’s finances, including improvements, sporting and technical planning for subsequent seasons.
