The Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) of Senate approved this Wednesday 17th, Dosimetry invoice (PL)which proposes reduced sentences for those convicted of attempted coup d’état. The score was 17 votes for and 7 against.
THE text, prepared by the rapporteur Espiridião Amin (PP-SC)could benefit former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), condemned by the Federal Court (STF) to 27 years and three months in prison and could see the sentence reduced to 20 years if the bill becomes law.
The senator Fabiano Contarato (PT-ES) was the only PT member to vote in favor of the project – the party is against its approval. In a note, the parliamentarian declared himself “totally opposed” to PL Dosimetry and declared that he had voted for it by mistake. “At the time of the vote, I recorded a vote different from my conviction in the Senate request and I have already asked the Presidency of the CCJ to rectify it within the panel. In plenary, my vote will be against,” he said.
All senators of PL, Union Brazil And PP voted in favor of the project. Republicans, PSDB And New were also in favor of the proposal. PSD, BMD And Can we had votes against and for. Check it out below.
