How to make micellar water at home? The beauty expert explains step by step with 3 ingredients

Micellar water is one of the most popular options for facial care. This liquid is used to cleanse, remove makeup, and unify skin tone.

However, some people prefer to use more natural products or prepare their own recipes at home. For this reason, beauty expert Maria Barrera Jané posted a video in which she teaches her followers how to make micellar water at home.

This type of cleanser is a natural and easy-to-use option for makeup removal and facial care. The product consists of molecules called micelles that are responsible for removing dirt, and is suitable for most skin types.

The expert presented her own recipe with only three ingredients.

The first ingredient to carry out the process is fractionated coconut oil. It is lighter and less greasy than regular oil. It is used to soothe, soften and moisturize the skin while cleansing.

The second ingredient is lavender essential oil, which has relaxing properties and helps reduce inflammation or irritation on the face. In addition, the scent of lavender adds a nice touch.

Finally, you need to use distilled water to dilute the oil and create a smooth liquid that is able to remove impurities from the skin.

The first step is to find a container that is ideally made of glass and can be sealed tightly. The product will provide the ultimate micellar water.

The next steps are:

  • Fill a quarter of the container with fractionated coconut oil.
  • Add two drops of lavender essential oil.
  • Fill the rest of the container with distilled water.
  • Mix the ingredients and shake the bottle until mixed.

Once the micellar water is ready, it can be applied to the skin using makeup remover cotton pads. The movement should be smooth, circular and cover the entire face.
